On Wednesday night, Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez made headlines for all the wrong reasons as he was sent off in his side's 2-1 defeat to Dacia in the Europa League. The Algeria international, who had been a key player for City this season, was shown a straight red card after receiving a second booking late on in the game. It was a disappointing exit from the competition for Mahrez and it will undoubtedly have come as a shock to many fans who were hoping that their team would progress further in Europe.
